Converse is celebrating Latinx Heritage Month with a full capsule collection that highlights Latinx artistry and legacy.

The “¡Mi Gente!” collection, which releases on September 16, aims to “honor the diversity, duality and vibrancy” of the Latinx diaspora “in the United States and beyond.” Using the classic Chuck Taylor All Star sneaker silhouette as canvas, the brand is releasing three shoes as part of the collection, each paying homage to a different Latinx country (namely Puerto Rico, Dominican Republic, and Mexico).

Puerto Rico’s Chuck style draws inspiration from “Afro-Caribbean rhythms and the freedom of the Bomba dancers” as well as the colors of the Puerto Rican flag.
