Rihanna has publicly apologized for using an Islamic Hadith during a segment of her latest Savage X Fenty show after fans pointed out on social media that its inclusion was insensitive.

During the Savage X Fenty Vol. 2 show, which premiered on Amazon Prime Video on October 2, a Hadith deemed sacred by those of Muslim faith, was included in a sample via the song “Doom” by producer Coucou Chloe. The song was featured during the “workroom” segment of the show. After various fans brought up on social media the nature of the sample, Rihanna swiftly apologized and took accountability for its inclusion, writing a heartfelt apology on her Instagram Stories.
