Thanks to the internet, the viral image of Senator Bernie Sanders sitting in a chair with his sustainable Jen Ellis mittens became the most memorable moment of President Biden’s Inauguration on January 20. So much so that Bernie’s campaign store dropped official merch to commemorate it.
There’s only one item listed on the official store with this motif and it’s a black crewneck sweater. It’s made from 100% combed ring-spun organic cotton fleece and features the Senator’s seated silhouette. Much like the image itself, the first drop went viral and sold-out almost immediately. (Bernie’s team moves fast but the internet moves faster.) However, if you were hoping to snag a “Chairman Bernie” crewneck, it’s now available to preorder for $45. “Due to overwhelming demand for this item, it may be a few weeks until you receive your sweatshirt,” the site reads.
