Vanessa Hudgens has picked up some new ink — and she’s really feeling!
After debuting her sideboob sunflower tattoo back in January, Vanessa has gotten back into the studio for another addition, this time on her ribs. On March 5, Vanessa took to Instagram to give followers a look at her new tat and, long story short, it’s a work of art.
The new piece, which much like her sunflower was done by Bang Bang’s Dragon, is a micro realistic black and white portrait and it features a nude angel with a minimal dotted outline. “Divine feminine angel — not me…. my tat,” Vanessa clarified in the caption, quickly following it up by saying, “But you can call me that, if you want to,” ending the post with a winking emoji and a #thirstythursday.
Vanessa isn’t the only celeb to get a visual representation of the “Divine Feminine” inked permanently on her body as of late. Back in December, Demi Lovato also chose the same motif for her nape tattoo, which features a similar style to Vanessa (despite being done by different artists) and took a whopping eight hours to finish.
While we don’t know how long Vanessa’s took, we do know one thing: she was ecstatic after getting it done. Announcing her new tattoo to the world, the actor shared a video of her first time seeing the tattoo on her Instagram feed and, in it, she’s beyond words.
Truly, we’ve never seen excitement like this before. If you need a little pick-me-up before the weekend, this is the video for you. Her happiness is just infectious. “Lol this was the first time I saw it. I never peeked. Hilarious,” she wrote in the caption. “I love @drag_ink so damn much. What. A. Legend.”
Tattoo artist Dragon seems to share her excitement. In a video posted to his IG stories, Dragon stands in front while Vanessa bounces around excitedly behind him, a story Dragon appropriately captioned “Hahahahahaha so fun.”
While she may have recently split from long-time partner Austin Butler, Vanessa’s not letting the breakup slow her down one bit. She debuted a new hair color at the end of January, got a bunch of tattoos, and with her new movie, Bad Boys For Life, still in theaters, she really has started 2020 in high gear. Good work, girl!
